4 Austin DeOrio Hometown: Mount Rainier, MD Why I joined NCCC: My friend that was a previous corps member said it was the best year of his life and I wanted that same experience. I love helping people and making them feel better and bringing happiness to those who need it. Another thing that helps is that the travel brings us to places I've always wanted to visit. Lastly, I want to make friends from all over the country and know them and have them for a lifetime. 5 Kyle Williams Hometown: Newmarket, NH Why I joined NCCC: NCCC appears to be a potentially exhilarating experience filled with many opportunities to do a lot for the communities that my team engages. I sought out this program initially (or at least a program similar in nature) while being half a year out of college. Being in the same area for my whole life combined with the fact that I have not done much for the people and the world around me, I knew that I needed a change of pace and lifestyle.
